Netflix dropped the first-look images of 'The Fifth Wheel' starring Kim Kardashian and Nikki Glaser. The female-driven dramedy is directed by Eva Longoria and written by Paula Pell and Janine Brito. The feature marks Longoria's second time helming a major film, and her first for the streamer.

According to the official logline, "The film is set to follow a group of high school best friends as they attempt to reconnect during a weekend haunt to Vegas. But when a “hot outsider” (the titular fifth wheel, played by Kardashian, of course) crashes their weekend, they’re forced to face their messy lives, bad decisions, and unraveling friendships."

'The Fifth Wheel' marks Kardashian's latest project. The reality TV star was last seen as Allura Grant in Hulu's legal series, 'All's Fair'. She had earlier essayed publicist Siobhan Corbyn sharing screenspace with Emma Roberts in 'American Horror Story' Season 12. The upcoming Netflix film will be her first leading role in a full-length film. In addition to Kardashian and Glaser, rounding out the cast are Fortune Feimster, Brenda Song, Jack Whitehall, Casey Wilson, and Scott MacArthur.

Kardshasian, Pell,  Jessica Elbaum, Will Ferrell, and Alex Brown serve as producers, with Mary Bundy and David Hyman serving as executive producers. At the time of writing, there is no official release date announced for the film.

Previously, Kardashian weighed in on the criticism for 'All's Fair'. Speaking to THR, "You’re not going to please everybody. You may have certain criticisms, while there are a million others who love it. I think the show holds a mirror up to each person who watches it," she said. "It’s just about: Can you connect to it or relate to it, and see yourself? It may be out of your league, it may not be anything you can connect to, and I think that goes for anything that gets presented on screen."

"It’s entertainment, it’s a comedy, and it’s a matter of finding ways to tap into real conversations and real human dynamics differently. Every time you meet any sort of difference, it takes a minute to either develop a taste for it or not. It may not be for you, and that’s OK, but I personally enjoy the show."

Earlier, she made headlines for her comments on pop star Taylor Swift. The SKIMS founder was lavish in praise of the singer during her appearance on sister Khloé Kardashian's podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land. "I've always thought she's like a super talented, great artist," the 45-year-old said. This comes on the back of her public feud with Swift in 2016.
