What to expect from 'My 600-Lb Life' Season 12 Episode 3?

When a routine trip to the grocery store becomes an emergency for the EMTs, Delana realizes how desperately she needs Dr Younan Nowzaradan's aid to lose weight.

Hopefully, her journey to recovery will lead her to reunite with the daughter she has grown away from because of her weight gain.

Each of the season's seven episodes puts viewers on an emotional rollercoaster, watching the physical and emotional challenges faced by one of Dr Now's patients as they embark on what they believe will be a life-changing journey.

From the initial consultation to the weight loss journey and, for some, potentially life-changing bariatric surgery, the series offers an unedited glimpse at the determination and stamina required to choose that path.

What happened in 'My 600-Lb Life' Season 12 Episode 2?

Viewers got to know William Keefer from Round Rock, Texas, in Episode 2. At the onset of his episode, William, who was 34 years old, weighed 620 pounds.

He was still pretty mobile, unlike some of the other people on the show, but his weight prevented him from being able to drive, so he had to rely on his mother, Dorothy, to transport him to places, like the grocery store.

William's father reportedly abandoned the family before he was born, which probably caused an absence in his life.

William participated in school sports as a child, but he seemed to give up on sports after injuring his ACL. In addition, his mother took a job in a distant state, leaving his grandparents to take care of him the majority of the time.

He met a woman at his local work corps after graduating from high school. He married her in three months, and they relocated to Colorado.

Sadly, they separated, with William returning to Texas. When things became tough, William would resort to food.

In a few hours, he promised to finish a six-pack of soda. The episode chronicled William's year-long weight loss struggle and his treatment with Dr Now, the show's resident surgeon in Houston.

Unfortunately, William's development was not linear during his year-long expedition. He weighed 592 pounds when he first saw Dr Now.

William tried to change his life for over a year, and although Dr Now had given him many chances to drop weight so he could get weight surgery, his final weigh-in was 588 pounds. Just four pounds were shed by him.

William's current whereabouts are unclear, but based on his actions during the episode, it doesn't seem probable that he gained control over his weight. William is not on any social media platforms, except for an old LinkedIn account, where he lists his prior employment history as a crew member at Dunkin' Donuts and assistant manager at Subway.

Dr Now advised him that to be eligible for surgery, he had to shed seventy pounds in only two months. William gained a few pounds in the end, failing to reach that objective several times.

William was jobless when he first met Dr Now. But in a few months, he was able to land a position at a restaurant.

His attempts to lose weight seemed to be hampered by this new work. Dorothy also didn't appear to want to commit, even after his mother first said she would support him in his weight reduction efforts.

William was addressed by Dr Now about his tendency to lie and make up reasons during their sessions. To address his concerns with honesty, he also suggested treatment.

William told a tragic story of his wife divorcing him on his birthday, packing his belongings, and taking him to the airport so he could leave her during a session with psychologist Dr Matthew Paradise.
