'Age of Attraction' drops deleted scenes exploring Andrew's short-lived romance with 39-year-old contestant
Season 1 of 'Age of Attraction' has already ended, but fans can't stop gushing over the couples and wondering about their current relationship statuses. The dating experiment, which brought together couples with massive age differences, premiered on March 11 and concluded on March 25 on Netflix. A year after the finale was filmed, the cast members got together for a reunion special, which aired on host Nick and Natalie Viall's YouTube channel, The Viall Files, on Wednesday. From the four couples who left the series finale in love, only two have managed to stick together. Andrew Wheeler, 38, and Libby Vodicka, 22, are one of the couples apart from Vanessa and Logan, who are currently engaged. However, there are some scenes that the fans had not seen before.
Netflix recently shared nine deleted scenes from the hit series featuring little-known friendships and short-lived romances that didn't make it onto the show. One of the clips reveals that Andrew made another strong connection with the 39-year-old Ashley Wottring during the retreat stage of the dating experiment. The exclusive clips show a cute, flirty exchange between the two in the woods. Andrew, a bar owner from Baltimore, Maryland, is seen telling Ashley about his connection with Libby. "Libby has been fun. I feel like my connection with her is a little bit different than, my connection with you. I feel like we have... it's very calming, very chill," he said.
Furthermore, Ashley, a business owner from Fishers, Indiana, reveals that she is a virgin and has decided to wait until marriage to have s*x. "I haven't told anyone else here this. I am a virgin who has been waiting for marriage. I get that's different. I get that's probably weird. I understand it's not for everyone. I don't expect the person I'm with to have done that [abstinence] either. This is a very personal choice I made when I was younger, and it ties to the romantic side of me." She also mentions how her ex-boyfriend "thought he could handle it but he couldn't" in the end. Due to her past experiences, Ashley expected Andrew to have a strong reaction. But he surprised her by saying, "I don't feel any type of way about that. I think if anything, it shows how strong of a person you are. And you should be proud of yourself."
However, Andrew ended things with Ashley and decided to focus on Libby, since he felt a stronger connection with her. Ashley recently shared on TikTok that she connected with another contestant on the reality series, but didn't reveal his identity. The 20-minute video features other romances and breakups that offer a glimpse into how differently some of these stories could have ended.
