LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 22 Episode 3 is all set to air on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 8 PM ET. The ABC show will continue the audition round with Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie returning to the judges' chairs.

'American Idol' Season 22 Episode 2 kicked off with a stunning performance by Hailey Mia, who amazed the judges with her stellar rendition of Katy Perry's song, 'Rise'. Katy dubbed the audition 'inspiring' and the contestant moved to the next round with three yesses.

Dawson Slade received two opportunities to prove his talent and earned a golden ticket after he impressed only Katy and Luke Bryan.

Broadway performer, Nya, became Luke's favorite by singing Willow Smith's 'Wait a Minute!'. Roman Collins, country singing legend, Loretta Lynn's granddaughter, Emmy Russell, KB, Sam 'Kayko' Kelly-Cohen, and Abi Carter were the other contestants who managed to advance to the next round.

Meanwhile, singing barber, Noah Peters, had a fun moment on the ABC show stage as he got the opportunity to showcase his vocals as well as hair-cutting talent. 'American Idol' Season 21 alum Colin Stough joined Noah on stage to perform a duet of 'Broken Halos' by Chris Stapleton.

Ziggy wowed the judges and brought tears to Katy, Luke, and Lionel's eyes with his emotional backstory. He shared his childhood struggles and revealed that people in the Netherlands call him a 'cotton candy'.
