'When I was the Most Beautiful' Episode 11: Carie arrives at Jin's house to reveal truth, was Ye-ji betrayed?
'When I was Most Beautiful' Episode 11 sees both Ye-ji and Hwan go through some major changes. After Jin asks Ye-ji if she would prefer that he divorces her, the ever so calm, collected Ye-ji loses her temper and lashes out at him. Asks him how he could be so selfish that he had hid from her and his family all these years and has now taken offense to the one bad day in her life when Hwan had decided to help her. Nothing had occurred then because she had strictly drawn a line between herself and Hwan.
However, the more Jin gets suspicious of her and Hwan, the more angry Ye-ji gets and after learning from Jin's mother that he does have a chance at recovery if he continues to get treated, Ye-ji decides to use her anger to throw a tantrum. She gets Jin to agree to get treated instead of focussing on her past, and Jin agrees. She also tells him that if he is so insecure about his own brother, then he should just kick Hwan out of their house and he should return to live with her.
Jin, after hearing this, agrees to go home with her and even begin treatment. When he tells Hwan that Ye-ji had agreed to kick him out, Hwan is hurt. He is extremely upset that Ye-ji doesn't think of him or his feelings even as just a friend and he decides to try and move on from her. Since Amber arrived in Seoul to try her luck again and attempt dating him, this time Hwan decides to give their relationship an honest try. He also believes that focussing on Amber and himself might be of more help to all of them instead of continuing to pay attention to Ye-ji.
It is while he does this that he introduces Amber as his girlfriend to both Ye-ji and Jin. Amber figures out from the expressions of everyone that Ye-ji is probably the one who has captured Hwan's heart and she completely understands how that could happen. She also points out to him that now that his brother has returned, his feelings for Ye-ji are not right, but considering how she had watched Hwan go through some extremely painful times, she tells him that she will let him off the hook this one time for lying to his brother and Ye-ji.
However, Hwan confirms to her too that he is sincerely interested in giving their relationship a try. This makes Amber ecstatic, but can he really give up on his feelings for Ye-ji now? Things go well for a few days as Jin's treatment shows some positive results and Ye-ji's encouragement also helps him make some improvements as well. However, at this point in time, just when things are settling down, the one lie that Jin had been hiding from Ye-ji surfaces.
The fact that Jin had been hidden by Carie after the accident and the fact that she had helped him go through a very tough period in his life will not be something easy for Ye-ji to stomach. Now that Jin has aggravated Carie by telling her that he will never return to her, she arrives at his home and is ready to tell Ye-ji and Hwan that she was the one who had saved and taken care of Jin. Was Ye-ji betrayed? How will she cope with this truth?
'When I was Most Beautiful' will air on MBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9.30 pm KST. It will be available on Viu outside South Korea.
