With K-pop taking over every field, it is no surprise that even video games are creating K-pop-themed versions from BTS’ Free Fire to Blackpink’s Animal Crossing. Well, we are now getting another video game and K-pop collaboration. Popular mobile video game PUBG first collaborated with Blackpink in 2020 and has now resumed their partnership two years later. In early July, beta testers leaked that PUBG was creating another Blackpink-themed version complete with pink hearts for missions, avatars, a concert set and OST. And now, it has been revealed that the ‘concert set’ is actually a virtual concert.

On July 12, YG Entertainment announced Blackpink’s virtual concert in PUBG's video game titled ‘The Virtual’ where the girl group will release a new song. Blackpink fans think that the new track is none other than the unreleased track ‘Ready For Love’ which was supposed to be part of their first studio album ‘The Album’ that was released in 2020. Beta testers could also hear Rosé’s voice in the snippet of the track that plays in the background of PUBG as users play the multiplayer battle royale video game.

Along with ‘The Virtual’ concert, players will get voice packs, game items and custom suits for their avatars that will be worn by the four Blackpink members for the virtual concert. Players can collect the items from July 23 to August 31. As for the concert tickets, players can get them for free on PUBG from July 15. After a 1.5-year hiatus, Blackpink is back with a bang announcing a comeback, gracing the cover of Rolling Stone, a world tour and a PUBG concert that has fans excited.
