Joyce Sims, who is best known for her Top 10 hit 'Come Into My Life' passed away on October 15 as announced on the social media of CJ Carlos. She was born in New York City in 1959 and reportedly died on October 15. The cause of the death of the singer is yet not announced. However, the fans are already pouring in their tribute and wishing her peace on social media.

Joyce Sims had her break in the R&B music industry in the 1980s when she got her first chart hit in 1986 with her hit song 'All and All.' Shortly after this, she gained worldwide recognition in 1987 with her song 'Come Into My Life' which also reached the top 10 on the US Billboard R&B Chart and the UK Singles Chart. Along with being an outstanding singer, Joyce was also a gifted pianist and a songwriter who wrote most of her own hits. The death of the singer has left her fans shaken and they took to social media to express their devastation.

The Internet soul music resource page Soul Track tweeted about the demise and said, "We are devastated to pass on the news of the death of R&B music great Joyce Sims at age 63. A great talent who sang, wrote and played for us for more than three decades". While Andrew Fairbairn said, "Shocked to hear about the passing of #JoyceSims at age 63. It was a privilege to see her perform at #thejazzcafe in London, England on August 29th 2022. R.I.P 🙏🏽." Journalist Lorraine King who also claims herself to be a 'geeky soul record collector' tweeted, "RIP Joyce Sims (August 6, 1959 - October 15, 2022) an incredibly talented singer and songwriter ❤️🙏🏾"



 



 



 

While the prevalent names in the industry have extended their condolences, some fans are devasted as they claim the singer gave them a 'holiday anthem' and will forever be nostalgic for their family. User Kate Smith said, "I am literally gutted that Joyce Sims has died. Aged just 63. Crikey. Never underestimate the memories that music evokes. Come Into My Life is forever a family fave transporting us back to St Lucia in 1988. Holiday anthem. Bloody marvellous singer. Rest in eternal peace 🕊️♥️🎶." Another fan penned, "How sad to hear the amazing Joyce Simms has died. Walk Away is just the classiest 80s dance track." Some fans are also sharing videos and recalling the times they were able to witness Joyce Sims live on the stage during different events. One fan tweeted a video of Joyce Sims performance at the Clacton Family Festival and said, "RIP Joyce Simms . Very fortunate to warm up the stage and see you perform this year at clacton family festival. Thoughts and prayers are with you’re family and loved ones." While another fan shared a video of her performing at the jazz festival with the caption, "Joyce Sims live at @TheJazzCafe last night #music 🔥"

Fashion and entertainment blogger Laura tweeted, "Absolutely gutted to hear to the lovely Joyce Sims has passed away 😢 I had the pleasure of spending some time with her and she was the most gracious and genuinely lovely person ❤️ #JoyceSims 🙏🏼." While DJ Dave Pearce said, "Very sad news I will never forget when my friend Dj Steve Walsh sadly died after a car crash she kindly flew to the uk to perform at a tribute fundraiser we put on - great talent , kind person she had it All and All.
