LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Beyonce has topped the Billboard 100 chart as a solo artist after a gap of 14 years. The singer achieved the feat with single 'Break My Soul' from her latest album 'Renaissance'.

Beyoncé’s main single from her album 'Renaissance' first hit the charts six weeks ago and it rose to its peak the same week the album made its debut as No 1 on the Billboard 200 charts list.

It was in 2008 that Beyoncé topped the Hot 100 by herself with 'Single Ladies', which stayed four weeks on top of the Billboard charts. However, the Grammy award-winning star has been more involved in creating musical collaborations with other artists since then.

'Break My Soul' topped Billboard Hot 100 by making Lizzo's 'About Damn Time' slip down to the second spot after being there for two weeks. Even Harry Styles’ song 'As It Was' went from second to third place but only after sitting on top for 10 weeks.

The news of Beyonce’s song ‘Break My Soul’ topping the charts was revealed by Billboard on their official Twitter handle on August 8.

As soon as fans heard this news, they  hailed ‘Beyonce’ as 'the queen' and said it was well deserved.

“Queen,” added a fan. “Song of the year,” said another fan. “Number one album and number song, 1of1. #1. Thee Only 1,” a fan noted. “Congratulations! now Bey please put more effort into Cuff it. That’s a worldwide hit,” noted a fan. “YASS! #1 song AND album at the same time!! #Renaissance #Beyonce,” another fan mentioned.
