Ciara Miller finally sheds light on West-Amanda 'Summer House' drama: 'To experience it so publicly...'
The 'Summer House' love triangle took the internet by storm. Ciara Miller made headlines after her close friend, Amanda Batula, and her ex, West Wilson, announced their long-speculated relationship on March 31, 2026. Ahead of the highly anticipated reunion, Miller spoke to Glamour and broke her silence on the situation. “It’s one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors. To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It’s a major mindf**k.”
West Wilson joined 'Summer House' back in Season 8 and soon swept Miller off her feet. However, things went downhill when, out of nowhere, Wilson called things off by saying he wasn't ready for commitment. Since then, viewers have witnessed these two have an on-again, off-again dynamic that has been emotionally exhausting for Miller, to say the least. Batula has shared an even closer relationship with Miller over the years. The duo has been in each other's corners for a while. They have spent seasons confiding in each other, and after her brutal split with Wilson, Batula helped Miller navigate through the situation. Miller, on the other hand, is often seen defending her ex-bestie to Kyle Cooke, Batula's now ex-husband, in Season 10.
Weeks away from the reunion, Miller wants to leave everything to fate. “What’s done in the dark always comes to light. And sometimes you really don’t even have to do anything except sit back and let the universe handle it all,” she shared. During her conversation with the publication, she was asked whom she felt more betrayed by, her former friend or her ex. "At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy," she said. She added, "Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man. But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that’s the craziest part."
Speaking about how she defended Amanda to her ex-husband, she said, "I’ve fought with your own husband to advocate for you. I have championed you. I have tried to be there in different ways for you and help you and get you to see your value in yourself. And so to be disregarded in such a disrespectful way is…. Honestly, it’s.... I’m at a loss for words sometimes." During the interview, the former nurse clarified that she and Wilson were indeed working on their relationship when the announcement came.
Miller also shed light on the conversations she had with the duo before their announcement on Instagram. The reality star shared that she was given a heads-up 24 hours before the declaration, and the interaction was "minimal" from Batula. "I read it with the rest of the world. There’s something about the lack of being able to say each other’s names in the statement that I found very telling, but I don’t know," Miller said about the announcement. This chapter has been hard for Miller, but she chooses to look at the positives, like the incredible support she has garnered during this time. "To turn the corner six years later and have so much support from everyone, it’s really sweet. It makes me feel like I didn’t just spend my 20s on this TV show for nothing," she added. The 'Summer House' Season 10 finale is set to air on May 19, and will be followed by the premiere of 'In the City.' The spin-off is set to follow Batula and Cooke's final days as a married couple. Miller is not part of the spin-off, but West will appear as a guest.
