'Welcome To Plathville': Barry upset with Moriah going for a concert as he believes song lyrics can instigate bad thoughts
In today's episode of 'Welcome To Plathville', Olivia and Ethan decided to surprise Moriah with a birthday party. They thought that it would also be the perfect time to bring the entire family together. Ethan and Olivia chose a restaurant that was far away from the farm where the Plaths lived as Olivia hoped it would help her maintain her dominance.
Moriah was surprised to find out that Olivia had organized a birthday party. But she was overjoyed when she found out that Olivia had two gifts placed for her. One of them was a concert ticket as Olivia thought it would be a good chance for Moriah to explore different things.
Kim and Barry were shocked to see that Olivia decided to give Moriah concert tickets knowing full well that they would be against it. Barry was unhappy as he did not like the idea of Moriah going for a concert. He thought that the lyrics of any music influence people and with Moriah going for a concert he feared that this would prompt her to drink or have sex.
Kim was also unhappy that Olivia would go behind their backs and give Moriah a gift that they would not accept. While Kim and Barry were upset about the gift, Moriah was happy to find out that she would have a chance to go for a concert.
Kim, Barry, Olivia and Ethan have always had a difference of opinion in terms of lifestyle. In the past, Barry has acknowledged the fact that he is not fond of how Olivia chooses to live her life. At the same time, Kim and Barry do not allow Ethan and Olivia to be present in the house unless they are also there.
Looking at how the dynamics in the family have changed it did not come as a surprise that Ethan and Olivia chose to gift Moriah what they believed she would like rather than waiting to get permission from Kim and Barry.
