Fans of ‘Watchmen’ were sure that last week’s episode was just about as good as the show could get, but were in for quite a treat this week as Episode 6, ‘This Extraordinary Being’ topped the high bar already set by Episode 5. The black-and-white flashback episode revealed one of the ‘Watchmen’ franchise’s most enduring mystery: the identity of Hooded Justice, while giving us a look into the life of Will Reeves and life as a black cop battling white supremacy.

Fans this week strongly opined that not only was the latest episode one of the best of the season but of all of television. “Episode 6 of Watchmen is hands-down no joke one of the best single episodes of television I've ever seen. I'm stunned,” said a user on Twitter.

"Tonight's episode of Watchmen is without a doubt one of the finest hours of television I have ever seen," said another. Other fans were more specific about what made the episode so special for them, with one tweet noting, "The unbroken takes. The editing. The mise en scène. It’s been on for twenty minutes & already, this episode of #watchmen might be one of the most jaw-dropping feats of television I’ve ever seen."

Many fans were appreciated the show's head-on approach to tackling racism and white supremacy on the show, a highlight of the episode. "Lawd have mercy, they are going into the history of white supremacy in the police department. Thank you to the writers. Thanks for showing what those who came before us endured," said a passionate fan online.

Other fans took note of the more "accurate" version of the sex scene between Hooded Justice and Captain Metropolis from the previous episode. 'American Hero Story', a fictionalized documentary set in the 'Watchmen' world, is revealed to have been mistaken as to Hooded Justice's identity, which this episode revealed to have been Will Reeves.

"Not just gay superhero sex, gay *interracial* superhero sex. #Watchmen is pushing buttons tonight," pointed out a user on Twitter.
