'Washington': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything else about History's miniseries
'Washington' is miniseries that is produced for History by Railsplitter Pictures. Doris Kearns Goodwin and Beth Laski serve as executive producers for Pastimes Productions. Matthew Ginsburg and Tim Healy are executive producers for Railsplitter Pictures while Jennifer Wagman, Mary E. Donahueand Eli Lehrer serve as executive producers for History.

'Washington' will premiere over Presidents’ Day weekend and air consecutively on Sunday, February 16, Monday, February 17 and Tuesday, February 18, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Plot:
According to official History channel press release, the plot of the miniseries says: "Most know the highlights of George Washington’s life – he was a general, crossed the Delaware, led the Continental Army to victory over the British, was America’s first President and is the face on the dollar bill – but there is so much more to his life than his accomplishments. Over the course of a three-night television event, 'Washington' will explore the full arc of his journey and weave together dramatic live-action sequences, excerpts from Washington’s letters and insights from a roster of notable experts, historians, and scholars to tell a very personal story about the evolution of one of history’s most iconic leaders."
Cast:
Actor Nicholas Rowe known for his role in 'The Crown', 'Young Sherlock Holmes', will portray George Washington in the series. Actor Jeff Daniels will narrate.
The series will also feature interviews with President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, renowned Pulitzer Prize-winning historians Joseph J. Ellis, Annette Gordon-Reed, Jon Meacham, Alan Taylor, and others.

Doris Kearns Goodwin, who is a world-renowned presidential historian and a Pulitzer Prize-winning bestselling author, is the executive producer of the series. The trailer flits between observations made about Washington in the present and how his life played out in the past. From calling him a man with a vision to a reluctant revolutionary, we see different faces of the man portrayed in the miniseries.
