WARDROBE MALFUNCTION: 'The Golden Wedding' fans empathize with Theresa Nist after bride's strap break mid-vows
PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA: Theresa Nist, star of 'The Golden Bachelor,' suffered a wardrobe malfunction during her wedding. Gerry Turner and his new wife Theresa were married on a live broadcast of 'The Golden Bachelor' on January 4, and viewers couldn't help but sympathize with the bride's straps breaking mid-ceremony.
The bride looked stunning in a pure white mermaid gown with a lovely design. The "traditional and modern" Badgley Mischka gown glistened in the light of the ceremony and the cameras.
She donned a big white veil that covered her arms and the full back of her gown. It was still see-through enough to show off her sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder straps on both arms.
Fans noticed that the strap on her right arm, facing the audience, was no longer linked to the front of her garment during the couple's vows. Fortunately, the strap on Theresa's dress was reattached during a commercial break, and she was ready for the reception.

"We talked one night, and we came to the conclusion that a black tux would look a little more formal," Gerry told PEOPLE of his decision to wear a black tux to the wedding. "And that's where I'm going, the black tux."
