LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Remember Sadie Sink's Max 'running up that road, running up that hill' in the fourth season of 'Stranger Things'? It seems like her 'The Whale' co-star Brendan Fraser is just as impressed as Sink's ardent fans with her performance. The 'Mummy' franchise star was all praise for Sink in a recent interview. However, Sink, who was also present, had a different opinion as she is still adjusting to the "massive love" she gets from the audience despite being a late joinee in the main cast of the series.

Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Matthew Modine, and Paul Reiser reprised their roles in the sci-fi horror drama's fourth season on Netflix. The season was met with positive reviews, with critics praising the performances, particularly those of Brown, Sink, Harbour, McLaughlin, Bower, and Quinn, besides the visuals, action sequences, realistic themes, emotional weight, and the darker, more mature tone.

Brendan Fraser says he 'couldn't remember' things due to 'starvation' during 'George of the Jungle'

In a recent interview with Pop Sugar, Sadie Sink and Branden Fraser shared their thoughts on the fourth season of Netflix's 'Stranger Things.'

Fraser said, "I saw this one stare down a really scary monster called Vecna." "She (Sink) went on to [film that] right after we finished 'The Whale', and for the beautiful rage that she plays in 'The Whale', Vecna did not stand a chance." He laughed and proudly added, "It was gorgeous."

On the other hand, Sink felt "overwhelmed" by the audience's love. She said, "I really wasn't expecting that, especially coming on as a new character," she said of fan reactions. "I don't think I ever lost that kind of impostor syndrome, just joining a big show and feeling a little out of my element." She added, "I still can't really comprehend it, but it was nice to see how people responded to Max's arc in season four."

In 'The Whale', Sink will be seen playing Ellie, Fraser's daughter.

The official synopsis of the film reads, "'The Whale' is the story of a reclusive English teacher who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter."

'The Whale' had its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 4, 2022, and is set to be released in the United States on December 9, 2022, by A24. The movie received generally positive reviews at the festival, with acclaim for Fraser's performance.
