The movie titled 'Unknown Origins' is an adaptation of a novel that narrates the story of a pair of cops that use the help of comic book geeks to try to bring down a killer who seems to be recreating superhero origin stories. This is what we know of the upcoming Spanish Thriller that gives us the vibes of the Jonny McHale episode from 'Criminal Minds' except instead of one hour, this is a ninety six-minute movie.

The official synopsis reads, "Cops (Javier Rey, Antonio Resines) join comic book and cosplay geeks (Brays Efe, Verónica Echegui) to nab a killer re-creating superhero origin stories."

Javier Rey as David
Rey is known for his roles as Sito Miñanco in 'Cocaine Coast' (2018), Javier in 'Sin Fin' (2018), David-Trigo in 'Not The End' (2014) and Alejo in 'Hispania, la leyenda' (2010-2012). His new releases include 'El verano que vivimos' and 'La casa de caracol' which is in post-production.
Verónica Echegui as Norma
Echegui is known for her roles as Luciana in 'Trust' (2019), Elena Ledesma in 'Fortitude' (2014-2017), Susana in 'You're Killing Me Susana' (2016) and Claudia in 'Let Yourself Go' (2017). Her most recent roles include 'The Offering,' 'My Heart Goes Boom!' and '3Caminos' which is currently filming. Other members of the cast include Leonardo Sbaraglia as Paco, Álex García as Javier, Ernesto Alterio as Bruguera, Brays Efe as Jorge Elias, Carlos Areces as Galván, Antonio Resines as Cosme, Fran Bleu as Victor Vid and Roman Rymar as Felipe.

The movie is directed by David Galán Galindo who also serves as a writer alongside Fernando Navarro. Marta L. Castillo serves as exceutive prouer, and Alberto Aranda, Ricardo Marco Budé, Kiko Martínez and Ignacio Salazar-Simpson serve as producers.

The trailer is in Spanish and has no English subtitles, but from the looks of its cops and geeks team up to find a killer that is horrendously taking the lives of innocent people using a comic book narrative as a crutch.
