JYP Entertainment has announced that TWICE's Jeongyeon will participate in their 'Beyond Live' concert after all, but will remain seated during the show due to her ongoing health concerns. The idol is currently resting after being diagnosed with a herniated disk.

While filming their comeback music video for 'More & More' earlier this year, Jeongyeon experienced numbness that went from her ears down to her neck. She completed her filming but made sure to see medical attention which resulted in her diagnosis. She was later spotted wearing a neck brace on more than one occasion and eventually had to clarify what she was dealing with after viewers of music shows began noticing there were markedly fewer videos of TWICE performances that focused on Jeongyeon. When JYP Entertainment and Twice announced the 'Beyond Live – Twice: World in A Day' concert, fans began expressing concern over whether Jeongyeon would be able to participate in the show or not.

In a newly released statement, JYPE has confirmed that she will, in fact, be present, but will not be participating in the more strenuous activity of dancing. Stating that "Jeongyeon is inevitably participating in the performance by sitting in a chair due to her health condition," the label also thanked fans for their "generous understanding," adding that the decision was made based on the "members' feelings of wanting to meet the fans after a long time."

The news has drawn mixed reactions from TWICE's fans. While some are happy the idol will get to participate in the show, others are concerned for her health and safety and are hoping she is being taken care of.

"Jeongyeon will still participate in the concert she'll be sitting down," tweeted one fan along with a translation of the full statement, adding, "I wrote members in plural because I know they were all looking forward to this concert, but it was Jeongyeon's own personal choice to participate. Sorry I was shaking writing this out." Fans were evidently emotional, with several expressing their hope that Jeongyeon was not being overworked.

One fan said, "It’ll be better for Jeongyeon to sit out this online concert and be healthy for their live concert when things go back to the way it was. Take all the time that you need Jeongyeon !!" while another tweeted, "Damn, now I can not sleep peacefully. Your health is the most important thing, we hope that everything goes well and you recover soon."

Some fans, however, were satisfied with the statement, tweeting, "I'm glad they cleared it up, so people won't say she's being overworked, she chose to meet us cause she misses us but she should still prioritize herself.. her injury is very severe. Love you Jeongyeon, we'll cheer from far away."

Many fans were moved by Jeongyeon's choice to perform despite what she is dealing with. One fan shared, "Thank you for always doing your best for us. Please take care of yourself," another stated, "Her dedication is no joke...even she's not fit perfectly...she keep trying her best to meet ONCE...we don't deserve her," and several others tweeted out "GET WELL SOON JEONGYEON."
