South Korean girl group Twice have confirmed their upcoming virtual concert 'Beyond Live – Twice : World in A Day'. The online concert takes a concept of touring the entire world within a single day by communicating with fans all over the globe and sharing exciting performances through an "on-tact" (online contact) concert in line with the current times.

“Beyond LIVE” is an online performance platform, launched collaboratively by SM Entertainment and Naver, that creates a brand-new concert experience optimized to the online experience. It features technology such as live sync camera walking, enhanced 3D graphics, and also connects to electronic light sticks that fans have at home which change in color and pattern according to the song.

The group took to their Instagram to build up anticipation that the online musical event is airing next week, on August 9 at 2:00 am (EST) through V LIVE. "2020.8.9 SUN PM3:00 (KST) TWICE ONLINE CONCERT See you soon ONCE I can’t wait!!! #TwiceWorldInADay," they wrote in the caption alongside a photo of lead vocalist Jeongyeon blowing a kiss.

The “Beyond LIVE” platform has already hosted concerts for many groups under SM Entertainment, but non-SM artistes are also permitted to have concerts through the service. Notably, Twice will be the first artiste not under the entertainment company to do so. On April 21, the platform revealed their first performers who performed on April 26. The opening lineup included SuperM, who opened the concert, WayV, NCT Dream, and NCT 127. WayV followed SuperM and performed on May 3, NCT performed on May 10, and NCT 127 on May 17.

For those unaware of what V LIVE is, it is a South Korean live video streaming service that allows celebrities based in the country to broadcast live videos on the internet and participate in a live chat with fans. Streaming is available online or on Android and iOS mobile devices, with replays formerly available on PC. The company is owned by Naver Corporation and was launched in late August 2015.

Meanwhile, reports have said that Twice is getting ready to make a comeback in October. According to Soompi, a source from the group's label JYP Entertainment said, “It is true that TWICE is preparing a new album. We will announce the details of the comeback schedule once they are confirmed.”

If Twice returns in October, this will be their first music in four months since 'More & More' released in June.
