LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The upcoming CBS TV program 'True Lies' will see a new cast bring to life those legendary characters with a new take on one of the greatest action films of all time. The show is based on James Cameron's 1994 blockbuster of the same name, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. According to the network, the 'True Lies' TV series will debut on CBS on March 1. The premiere date of the program was formerly set for February 23, however, it has subsequently been postponed by a week.

However, Schwarzenegger is not without controversies due to his unthinkable act on the set of 'End of Days.' In the 'I've Got News For You' podcast, Miriam Margolyes revealed that Arnold Schwarzenegger "deliberately" farted in her face while they were filming 'End of Days' in 1999. On the podcast from news.com.au, Margolyes recalled the alleged event and claimed the Terminator actor was "too full of himself. He was actually quite rude. He farted in my face." The 'Harry Potter' actor said of Schwarzenegger. "Now, I fart, of course, I do — but I don’t fart in people’s faces. He did it deliberately, right in my face," Margolyes claimed.

The gas incident: Schwarzenegger doing the unthinkable on set

On a podcast about Margolyes' role in 'Australia Unmasked,' when asked about a celebrity she disliked meeting, the actor, most famous for playing Professor Sprout in 'Harry Potter,' mentioned "the wrestler, you know, from Austria," before the podcast host mentioned Schwarzenegger and Margolyes affirmed it.

As for the gas incident, it occurred while Margolyes, who played Satan's sister, was being killed by Schwarzenegger's character, an ex-cop on the hunt for Satan, luckily wasn't captured on camera. "He had me in a position where I couldn’t escape and lying on the floor. And he just farted," Margolyes remarked. She added, "I haven’t forgiven him for it."

TheWrap reported that following their collaboration on the supernatural action film, Margolyes declared that she "[doesn’t] care for him at all," adding that he is a Republican and "a bit too full of himself." Margolyes went on to say that although they filmed the movie in Los Angeles more than twenty years ago, she has not been able to forgive the Hollywood celebrity.

Schwarzenegger did not immediately answer when The Wrap contacted him for comment.

How the TV show differs from the movie

The lead actors in 'True Lies,' which debuted in theatres in July 1994, were Jamie Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lee Curtis. Steve Howey and Ginger Gonzaga will fill in for Harry and Helen Tasker in the TV adaption of the James Cameron action blockbuster, which was itself a remake of the French classic 'La Totale!'

The 'True Lies' cast also features Omar Miller, who is taking over for Tom Arnold in the role of Gib; Mike O'Gorman, who plays Luther; Erica Hernandez, who plays Maria; and Annabella Didion and Lucas Jaye, who play the Tasker kids, Dana and Jake, respectively. Beverly D'Angelo, Andy Martin, Carlo Rota, and Andrew Laing are additional cast members.

The 'True Lies' TV show's idea is very similar to that of the summer hit from 1994, but it won't be an identical copy. The show's actor, Steve Howey, who is portraying the iconic role made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger, clarified in an August 2022 interview with ScreenRant that the CBS action drama will do its "own thing" upon its debut: "We're not going to do the Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis movie, it's a classic that stands alone. We're doing something else and we're doing our own thing, but that's based in that system. We got a great cast, Ginger Gonzaga plays the Jamie Lee Curtis character, Owen Miller plays the Tom Arnold character. And then our showrunner did — remember that show on USA? [Burn Notice] A really underrated show."
