Arnold Schwarzenegger marks festive season with heart-warming Christmas throwback photo of mom Aurelia
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Arnold Schwarzenegger is undoubtedly a sweet mama’s boy. The ‘Terminator’ star remembered his beloved mother, Aurelia Jadrny, at Christmas as he shared a heart-warming photo of her on Monday, December 26, to mark the festive season.
“I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Here is a shot of my mother by the Christmas tree many years ago that I shared in my new newsletter. Those are real candles hanging on the tree!” he captioned the Instagram post. The sweet and merry snap captured Aurelia standing next to a Christmas tree decorated with colorful ornaments and hanging candles. The tradition of hanging candles originated among Germans in the early 17th century and is still observed in many regions of Germany and neighboring territories.

The 75-year-old star first shared the sweet holiday picture in his monthly newsletter. Arnold had launched the newsletter back in March 2021. He previously revealed that the newsletter is a platform for him to share "share advice, photos, and videos” that he doesn't publish on social media.
On Christmas, the “Expendables” star posted a video of himself working out in a Christmas jumper with trees and reindeers in its festive design. "Merry Christmas! Use that holiday cheer to power up your pumps, and really enjoy your time with your family," wrote Schwarzenegger in the caption. The video came out days after he shared another footage of himself that showed him volunteering at the non-profit Hollenbeck Boxing youth and games center.
“What a joy to donate gifts and hand them out at Hollenbeck Boxing,” Schwarzenegger said. “I’ve been doing this for over 30 years now... the best part of this time of year for me is giving back... what do you do to help your community during the holidays?” Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for his charity services. On Christmas Eve, he invited his 22.9 million Instagram followers to join him in raising money for a charity program to help children. It is important to note that Arnold Schwarzenegger has been doing this for the past 30 years.
Last Christmas, he celebrated by contributing $250,000 to provide 25 houses for veterans living on the streets of Los Angeles. "Today, I celebrated Christmas early. The 25 homes I donated for homeless veterans were installed here in LA," he tweeted in his announcement from December 2021. "It was fantastic to spend some time with our heroes and welcome them into their new homes."
