‘He farted in my face’: Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes repeats claim against Arnold Schwarzenegger
Miriam Margolyes has reiterated Arnold Schwarzenegger's inappropriate behavior on the set of the 1999 film 'End of Days.' The 81-year-old Harry Potter star made the same claim in The Guardian in 2016 and repeated it on the podcast I've Got News for You on Tuesday. Margolyes made headlines when she claimed Schwarzenegger 'blew in her face' while they were filming 'End of Days.' "He's a little too full of himself," Miriam said on the podcast. "He was actually quite impolite. He farted right in my face. Of course, I fart, but I don't fart in people's faces. He did it on purpose, right in front of my face," she explained. "I was playing Satan's sister, and [his character] was killing me, so he had me lying on the floor, unable to escape. And he just farted. It wasn't on film; it was during one of the pauses, but I still haven't forgiven him." Margoyles added.
Margolyes is the only member of the cast who has made this claim publicly, and it has not been confirmed by anyone else on set. Schwarzenegger, 74, did not directly address the claim, but previously called allegations of inappropriate behavior "false" after six women spoke to the Los Angeles Times about their experiences working with him in 2003.

The former champion bodybuilder-turned-actor was the frontrunner for governor of California at the time of the allegations. Following her recent claims that Schwarzenegger 'farted in her face' on set, Margolyes was asked about her experience working with him on The Kyle and Jackie O Show. She said she hated filming with Schwarzenegger, saying: "No I didn't enjoy it at all. I thought he was full of himself and [inappropriate].Not [with] me, thankfully, but anybody else that was young and pretty, he felt they were fair game. That was what it was like then."
In 2016, Margolyes had called the former California governor a "pig of a man". "Although he was relatively professional with me - because he didn't like me - he was awfully [inappropriate] with women he was interested in." she told 'The Guardian.'
Schwarzenegger once admitted that he "behaved badly sometimes" as an actor, but insisted that 'a lot of' the allegations leveled against him were false. The Los Angeles Times published an interview with six women who claimed Schwarzenegger inappropriately touched them without their permission in 2003. The women alleged that one incident took place in the 1970s, two in the 1980s, two in the 1990s and one in 2000. After the LA Times story was published, Schwarzenegger, who was running for governor of California at the time, admitted to 'behaving badly' on set on occasion. "It is true that I was on rowdy movie sets and I did things that were not right that I thought were playful at the time," he said at a campaign rally. "However, I now realize that I offended people. For those whom I have offended, I want to express my deep regret and apologize because that is not what I was attempting. A lot of the stuff in the [LA Times] story is not true," said Schwarzenegger.
In 2018 Schwarzenegger admitted that he "stepped over the line" with women several times during his film career and felt 'bad about it' and said "In retrospect, I crossed the line several times, and I was the first to apologize. I regret it and apologize," he told Men's Health. "When I became governor, I vowed that no one, including myself, would ever make this mistake again."
Margolyes has previously discussed the farting incident in an interview with Reader's Digest. "At the end [of the film], I got my throat slit with a glass table, and I remember Schwarzenegger farting right in my face as I lay on the floor trying not to move. I shouted: 'F**k you, Arnie!' I was furious," she told the publication.
