Is Triple H OK? WWE star and Vince McMahon's son-in-law undergoes cardiac surgery
WWE legend Paul Levesque aka Triple H reportedly suffered a cardiac event recently and had to undergo surgery for the same. The news was confirmed by WWE in a statement issued on Wednesday, September 8. It was mentioned that the 52-year-old's cardiac ailment arose from a "genetic heart issue". The former wrestler and WWE CEO Vince McMahon's son-in-law is the founder and executive producer of the WWE NXT brand.
In the statement about his condition, WWE wrote, "Paul Levesque, a.k.a. Triple H, underwent a successful procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital following a cardiac event. The episode was caused by a genetic heart issue and Paul is expected to make a full recovery." Levesque's wife Stephanie McMahon βis yet to issue any formal statement on his present health condition. Cardiac issues are quite rare among WWE stars, but there have been reports of legendary wrestlers falling prey to the same. In March 2021, former WWE star Brian James aka Road Dogg suffered a heart attack at the age of 51.

Triple H has been active in the wrestling ring for nearly three decades now, while his association with WWE dates back to 1995. The present COO for WWE had been a five-time Intercontinental Champion, three-time World Tag Team champion and fourteen-time world champion. He had also won the Royal Rumble twice and been a King of the Ring tournament winner.
In the past, Levesque has recovered from a massive injury in his career, In 2001 he reportedly tore his quad and took a while for recovery. In recent times, Levesque has stepped away from action in the ring and has been more closely associated with the business. The wrestler got married to WWE owners Vince and Linda McMahon's daughter Stephanie McMahon in 2003. The couple had started dating in real life in 2000 following an on-screen storyline marriage. They tied the knot in reality on October 25, 2003, in Sleepy Hollow, New York, and have been happily married ever since. Levesque also shares three daughters with Mcmahon.
It is unclear when Triple H would be able to make a comeback in his WWE office anytime soon, but we certainly hope so. Meanwhile, fans poured in their messages of support to the wrestling legend, as actor Mick Foley tweeted, "Wishing @TripleH a full and speedy recovery. Get well soon, Trips!" Wrestler Zoey Stark wrote, "Wishing you a speedy recovery!!! @TripleH"
However, not everyone was equally considerate. Some Twitter users went on to troll the sick star, as they accused him of prompting Adam Cole's departure from WWE NXT and his latest debut with AEW.
"Triple H nearly died and m*f*s bringing up Adam Cole leaving and NXT dying. F**k this community," a user wrote.
