Why Marques Houston doesn't date women his own age?
Marques recently got candid on the issue which fans were waiting for a long. The reality star shared his thoughts on dating women of his own age. In a recent interview with Page Six, Marques shared that women his own age came with too much "baggage." He explained, "A red flag to me [was] always with a woman that had a kid. Nothing against single women, but single mothers with children are a red flag for me." However, Marques then showed respect for single mothers and admitted that when he grew up, he never really wanted to have kids. Marques added, "So that was always my red flag… and a woman with an attitude. I don't like women with funky attitudes." Marques also noted in the interview that women who are his age "kind of have a different outlook on life" and are "very independent," and he noted that he isn't a fan of those women. He explained, "I'm 41, she is 22. I could've married a 44-year-old woman, and it could've been disastrous." Marques added, "They are very like, 'I don't need a man to do this for me 'cause I can do it for myself.' I come from a generation that I love to provide for my wife." The reality star admitted that there are a lot of women of his age he has dated, and "they may have baggage. They may have kids, they may not."
'He's a red flag'
Soon after Marques revealed he doesn't date women of his own age because they come with 'baggage,' the social media users brutally trolled the reality star. A social media user commented, "What about your baggage you [are] a whole red flag." Another follower noted, "Just say you’re too immature for a woman your own age." Another person said, "So he doesn’t think women in their early 20s who marry someone 20yrs older don’t have issues. Talk about a red flag." "Basically he's saying that he wanted a young woman he can manipulate and mold to his liking. Go home RODGER!!" added another user. Another comment reads, "He’s a red flag." "That thought process is a red flag!! What a clown 🤡 🤣," said the next Instagram user.
Who is Marques Houston's wife?
Marques married Miya in 2020 and they soon welcomed their first daughter named Zara. Miya had a troubled childhood. She is the biological child of Paula Harris, a woman who is thought to have vanished in 2016 when she was 15 years old. However, Paula lost custody of Miya in 2012. Miya was later adopted by a different family the same year. But Miya went missing and her new parents reported her missing report in Oregon in 2016. They even posted pictures of Miya on a website for missing teenagers, thinking she had run away to California to see her real parents. However, Miya lived a low-key life until she met Marques through a mutual friend in 2018. Miya made a public appearance again while she was 18 and engaged to Marques Houston. She is currently 22 years old. Miya often shares glimpses of her happy family on her social media.
