‘Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood’: Release date, cast, trailer and everything you need to know about VH1’s popular hip-hop show

VH1's popular reality show, 'Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood' is back with season 6. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming season.

After receiving positive responses for the New York and Atlanta editions of ‘Love & Hip-Hop', ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood’ too gradually found its space in the reality television world. The shows chronicle the personal and professional lives of hip hop and R&B artists, performers, managers, and record producers residing in various metropolitan areas of the United States.

Release date

The sixth season of 'Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood' is set to premiere on August 5, only on VH1.

Show format

The show follows a group of aspiring hip-hop artists fighting for their chance to make it big in the hip-hop world. From R&B artists and video vixens to actors, personal assistants, and lovers, the series showcases the glitz and glamour of the Hollywood hip-hop music scene. The sixth season is back with a few new faces and some old cast members backs to serve us our dose of drama.

Ray J, Princess Love, K. Michelle, Lyrica Anderson, rap legend Yo-Yo, singer Marques Houston, and Fizz will be appearing on the sixth season.

Apryl Jones

Apryl Jones is a former cast member, Omarion's ex-girlfriend and the mother of the singer's two children. She was recently in news for her viral video, where she claimed that she's desired by a number of rappers including Fizz, Game, and A$AP Rocky.

Ray J & Princess Love

Ray J, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, television personality, actor, and entrepreneur. He is the brother of recording artist and actress Brandy Norwood and the first cousin of rapper Snoop Dogg. He became a household name after the infamous sex tape featuring him and Kim Kardashian leaked online. Ray is one of the OG and main cast member of the show. In August 2016, he got married to Princess Love and they have a daughter - Melody Love. The trio will be appearing this season on the show. 

Lil' Fizz

 Lil' Fizz is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and television personality best known for being the youngest member and rapper of the R&B group, B2K. There have been rumors lately that he's in a relationship with Apryl Jones. We can expect to see a lot of drama on this front.

Lyrica Anderson & A1 Bentley

Lyrica is an American singer and songwriter. She is currently on the show 'Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood'. On this current season her husband, A1 Bentley, and she have split up after he cheated on her. The former couple is reportedly having trouble with co-parenting.

K. Michelle

K. Michelle, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and television personality. She will reportedly share her surrogate pregnancy journey, in this season. 

Micky Munday: Micky Munday will be making his debut on the show from this season onwards.

The show is executive produced by Mona Scott-Young, Toby Barraud, Stefan Springman, Stephanie R. Gayle, Nina L. Diaz, Vivian Gomez, and Donell Dorsey.
