Tom Selleck's wife-of-35-years Jillie Mack marks 65th birthday on 'blessing' family ranch
WESTLAKE, CALIFORNIA: Tom Selleck recently celebrated his wife's birthday with his family on their ranch. Jillie Mack turned 65 on Sunday, December 25. Commemorating the special occasion, their daughter, Hannah, took to Instagram and shared moments from the revelry on the family's ranch, with the caption as "HBD mum" alongside her mother's birthday candle-blowing video.
Hannah uploaded a number of pictures showing the celebrations from the day, right from breakfast to their trip through the lush countryside. Selleck, 77, and Mack, who have been married for 35 years, co-starred in the former's hit TV show 'Magnum P.I.' Mack was born in Wiltshire, England, in 1957, and has appeared in many movies and TV shows, including 'Frasier' and 'Silverfox'.

Daughter's birth made ranch life a blessing
Selleck spent a lot of his time concentrating as he played Thomas Magnum in the popular crime series that gave him his big break. He reportedly remarked that he spent most of his weekdays working on set and that he also produced films in his spare time, per AmoMama.
However, once he married Mack in 1987, his life underwent a significant change. The couple welcomed Hannah in 1988 and then Selleck made the decision to temporarily put his profession on pause after realizing that he couldn't maintain a rigorous shooting schedule while still being a dedicated parent and spouse. The actor reportedly said, "I quit 'Magnum' to have a family. It took a long time to get off the train, but I try very hard to have balance, and this ranch has helped me do that."
Years later, the actor thought back on how important his family's ranch had been throughout their whole lives. The house gave the "fairly private" actor some peace and quiet, and allowed him to raise his daughter away from the spotlight. According to People, he called the ranch "a real blessing" and said that it kept him "sane" throughout the years.

The minister, as per Country Living, called Selleck "a really warm, kind man" since he showed concern for Mack and the ceremony despite the circumstances.
