Are Timothee Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp back together? NYC outing fuels rumors
Spotted in casual chic ensembles and no PDA at all, Timothee and Lily-Rose kept their fans guessing about a possible reconciliation between them
After leaving everybody shocked with an abrupt breakup, 'The King' co-stars Lily-Rose Depp and Timothee Chalamet are rumouredly giving their relationship another shot. Funnily enough, this won't be one of those situations where fans of each are left heartbroken because if there's one thing Chalamet's fans and Depp's fans love more than the two stars, it's the two of them together.
Neither Depp nor Chalamet has confirmed what their relationship status is, but Daily Mail caught them out and about in New York City on Monday, on July 12, together. This comes after months of reconciliation rumors as Chalamet reigned headlines for his upcoming young Willy Wonka gig, and Depp being slammed with a racism scandal shortly after their breakup became public. Chalamet has also recently grabbed eyeballs with his snappy metallic suit at the Cannes red carpet, but clearly, he had bigger revelations up his sleeves that his fans are delighted with.
Timothee and Lily's day out
The 25-year-old 'Call Me by Your Name' actor was seen this July 12 leaving his apartment building with Depp, 22, as rumors of the two of them being 'on again' kept floating about. Depp, always the fashionista, kept it relatively casual with her frayed shorts. But the ensemble gave her the 'cool chic' aura she is known for as she left her light brown tresses down for the day out.
With knee-high black cowboy boots and a chic white tank top, Depp sported a simple but sophisticated look. A pair of retro sunglasses and a sleek grey face mask completed the look, next to Chalamet's quirky black tee shirt, striped shorts, and Nike trainers. Chalamet was also seen with a handy backpack that looked plenty full, along with a blue baseball cap, perfectly contrasting his newly red locks.
Are they back together?
Unfortunately for their fans aching for confirmation from either, the duo kept any and all PDA at bay, briskly walking out into the big city in their newly-papped outing. That means, there's still no official confirmation about whether the two are heading towards round two of their romance or not. They were first linked romantically almost three years ago when in October 2018, they were spotted kissing as they went on multiple dinner dates out in New York City. In 2019, the two starred in the film 'The King' together. Soon after this, came the famous yacht make-out session, photographs of which went viral around September 2019.
Following their abrupt breakup announcement last summer that no one really saw coming, rumors of the two reconciling never really vanished. One year after the breakup, in April 2021, InTouch magazine quoted sources close to them spilling the two are in fact back together and "both super happy." The insider told the outlet, "Their relationship is going really well. They’re a private couple and are keeping their romance out of the spotlight. It works better for them that way."
They also claimed that the split was quite significant for the couple as it "ended up working in their favor." Why? The two young Hollywood progenies realized post break up "what they’d lost", and that is believed to be the reason they allegedly got back together in January, very quietly.
