'Time To Hunt': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything else about the Korean movie on Netflix

The streaming network’s foreign movie lineup is about to drop a thrilling Korean story and as grim as it may look, the project with some of the industry’s popular faces, promises to be a great watch

Korean entertainment industry keeps dishing out some of the best stories and plotlines, with extremely unexpected twists and turns, making the movie experience an ultimate one. And once more, Netflix opens the window to another such piece of Korean cinematic excellence with ‘Time to Hunt’. The futuristic crime thriller movie comes from one of South Korea’s popular directors, Yoon Sung-hyun.

Release Date:

‘Time to Hunt’ will release on Netflix on April 10, 2020.

Plot:

The movie takes you somewhere in the near future, in a grim society of South Korea, where the economy is down, and a financial crisis hits the nation. Amid people grappling to make ends meet and slums on the rise, a group of young boys will try to change their fate. Four friends, leave the dystopian world behind and decide to become outlaws. They plan a money heist to improve their lives but little do they know that their venture is only attracting the attention of a vicious killer.

Cast:

The futuristic thriller features Lee Je-hoon (Signal), Ahn Jae-hong (Fight for My Way), Choi Woo-shik (Parasite), Park Jeong-min (You’re All Surrounded), and Park Hae-soo (Prison Playbook) among others.

AHN Jae-Hong is a South Korean actor, writer and screenwriter. He is known for playing minor roles in ‘The Day He Arrives’ and ‘Nobody's Daughter Haewon’. He gained recognition from the movie ‘King of Jokgu’ and ‘The Sunshine Boys’ and rose to stardom with his role in TV show ‘Reply 1988’, the third in its series.

Lee Jehoon is an actor, known for appearing in many Korean television shows and movies. Some of his best works are from ‘Secret Door’, ‘The Front Line’, ‘Signal’, ‘Fashion King’, and ‘Tamjung Hong Gil-dong: Sarajin Ma-eul’, among many others.

Woo-sik Choi stars in 'Time to Hunt' (IMDb)

Woo-sik Choi is a Korean actor known for appearing in ‘Parasite’, ‘Okja’ and ‘Set Me Free’.

Hae-soo Park is best known for his roles in ‘By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture’, ‘Prison Playbook’, and the series ‘Six Flying Dragons’.

Director:

The movie is the brainchild of director Yoon Sung-hyun, who has written and directed it. He is known for his work in ‘Bleak Night’, ‘If  You Were Me 5’, and the short film ‘Boys’.
