'This is Us' has introduced us to a lot of characters over the years, and we have fallen in love with most of them and following their journeys has been a joy in itself. More often than not we may get introduced to someone new and not get any update about them for a while, and generally, we are okay with that. However, in Marc's (Austin Abrams) case, we are too restless to wait for his storyline to be reworked back into the show.

We were introduced to him as a character from Kate's (Chrissy Metz) past earlier this season, and he used to be one of her teenage self's (Hannah Zeile) ex-boyfriends, and as charming and adorable as he had seemed in that very first scene, we got weary of him rather quickly. At the end of 'Storybook Love,' we see an exchange between Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Kate wherein they express that the relationship was far from ideal.

Both women say that back in the day they were unable to recognize what was going on, which raised all fans' red flags. We believe that Marc was an abuser, and once this clicked everything he did on 'Storybook Love' seems shady, from dating a teenager when he was in his twenties to tracking Kate's house down. Since this theory started floating on the internet, we have been wanting to see more of their story on the show. We need to know if he hurt Kate and how she escaped that relationship, which is why, despite being so excited to see Deja (Lyrica Ross) and Malik's (Asante Blackk) story, we are a little frustrated.

From the trailer for the upcoming 'The Dinner and the Date', it is clear that we will get to see the young couple's relationship is going to get more serious and we are definitely happy for them — and a little nervous, especially since it seems like they are pushing the boundaries of freedom granted by their parents, specifically Deja. You can see their adorable love story when 'This is Us' airs Season 4 Episode 7 on Tuesday, November 5.
