‘Thirteen Lives’ on Amazon Prime: Survival film grabs number 1 spot in 16 countries

The real-life survival film ‘Thirteen Lives’ that tells the story of a young Thai soccer coach Ekkaphon Chanthawong (Teeradon Supapunpinyo) and his team of twelve young football players getting stuck inside the famous Tham Luang cave in Thailand was released on Amazon Prime Video on August 5, 2022. A recent report states that the survival film has been streaming in top position in about sixteen countries.

According to Flixpatrol, ‘Thirteen Lives’ has ended up grabbing the number one position in about 16 countries, finally ranking itself as numero uno on global streamer’s top titles for this week. This doesn't come as a surprise given that it has been helmed by the award-winning director Ron Howard whose comeback is being raved about by netizens and the stellar cast comprising of huge names like Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell, and Joel Edgerton.

As per the Flixpatrol charts, 'Thirteen Lives' is currently the most widely watched movie in countries like the US, UK, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Slovakia, Norway, Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, Hungary, Germany, France, Finland, Denmark, and Czech Republic this week.

The Oscar award-winning filmmaker Howard’s intensely authentic retelling of the famous 2018 Tham Luang cave incident has ended up striking a chord in the hearts of global audiences and fans. Needless to say, ‘Thirteen Lives’ has been garnering plaudits and accolades from fans and critics alike. The film has been applauded for its well-etched storyline and stellar performances by the cast.

Interestingly, the retelling of the complicated rescue mission being done to save a young Thai soccer team of twelve boys and their coach from being permanently trapped in a flooding Tham Luang cave in Thailand has gotten a certified ‘Fresh’ Rotten Tomatoes score of 88 percent, with the user rating even higher at a mightily impressive 92.

With Mortensen, Farrell, Edgerton, Tom Bateman in leading roles, 'Thirteen Lives' film has a perfect amalgamation of the real-life story being reimagined on screens with an adrenaline-filled storyline featuring several awestruck cinematic moments with breathtaking cinematography and fantastic direction by the filmmaker alongside classy performances by entire star cast who have effortlessly played their characters with ease and confidence.
