In the concluding episode of 'Them', the Emory family faces a crescendo of challenges in East Compton. Their confrontation with racist neighbors and the malevolent supernatural entities haunting them reaches a dramatic climax.

As the narrative unfolds, tensions within the family and the community escalate. Lucky's (Deborah Ayorinde) forced institutionalization and the family's relentless battle against their hostile neighbors heighten the stakes. However, Lucky's daring escape and return to her family's home serve as a pivotal moment.

With unwavering resolve, she courageously defends her loved ones from the enraged mob and confronts the sinister spirits that have plagued them. Through sheer determination and unity, the Emorys reject the illusions and manipulations of supernatural forces.

Despite the lingering threat of racism, the family emerges stronger and more resilient, united in their shared ordeal. While their future remains uncertain, the episode's resolution signifies a hard-won victory for the Emorys as they stand together against the forces of darkness.

As the series concludes, viewers are left to ponder the Emorys' fate and the enduring legacy of their harrowing experiences in East Compton.

Set in 1991 Los Angeles, season 2 of 'Them' will delve into racism issues of the time. The story follows Detective Dawn Reeve, the only woman of color in her unit, as she investigates a disturbing murder case with ties to a malevolent force threatening her family.

Dawn's instincts are put to the test as she navigates a challenging environment and strives to prove herself. The narrative explores how racism affects the safety of one's home, adding complexity to the character dynamics.

Unlike the first season, which focuses on external racism, the new season delves into internal struggles within Dawn's family. It raises questions about home safety and the impact of malevolent forces on familial bonds.

However, the official synopsis reads, "Anthology horror series with varying characters and locations by season, featuring different aspects of the horror genre."
