2023 SAG Awards: Jennifer Coolidge bags Best Actress in a Drama Series award for 'The White Lotus'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It's official: Jennifer Coolidge is now a Screen Actors Guild Award winner for 'The White Lotus' Season 2. The HBO series' first season was the most-awarded series at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, winning 10 awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Directing for White, Outstanding Supporting Actress for Jennifer Coolidge, and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Murray Bartlett.
The second season won Golden Globe Awards for Best Limited or Anthology Series and Best Supporting Actress for Coolidge. 'The White Lotus' actress Jennifer Coolidge won the outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series award at the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards. "It's been a very special year, and it's overwhelming," Coolidge, 61, said while accepting the honor, which she won over fellow nominees Elizabeth Debicki's 'The Crown,' Julia Garner's 'Ozark,' Laura Linney's 'Ozark,' and Zendaya for 'Euphoria.' Her SAG Award win extends her career comeback another year after collecting a number of accolades in 2022, including a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for season 1 of 'The White Lotus.' Her latest is the third award she's picked up for Season 2, which sees Coolidge now competing in the drama categories versus the limited ones after the series returned for a second installment. She also won a Critics Choice Television Award and a Golden Globe in January.
