'The Voice' Season 24: Gwen Stefani wishes to sign Team Niall's Huntley after his Grammy-worthy performance in playoffs
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: With a unique blend of soulful vocals and unwavering stage confidence, Huntley has been killing on Season 24 of 'The Voice' right from the start.
This Virginia-born artist not only stands out on Team Niall but also adds a much-needed dose of new rock 'n' roll energy to the group of exceptionally gifted singers this season.
After delivering yet another incredible rendition, this time of David Kushner's goth-pop ballad 'Daylight', Huntley made it very clear to the coaches that they would be seeing him again on the forthcoming Live Performance Shows and most likely packing venues soon after.
Gwen Stefani seemed almost envious that Huntley wasn't on her squad.
"I just can't believe how amazing you are," she said.
"Every single time, your actual vocal ability — especially in the lane of music that you do and your style of singing — it is masterful. You have such great stage presence, and I just can’t believe you don’t already have a whole album. If I had a label, I would just like, snatch you. You’re amazing!" she added.
John Legend calls Huntley's 'The Voice' playoffs performance Grammy-worthy
Huntley was a certain way to keep 'The Voice' going strong into the live rounds, according to all four coaches.
Following Huntley's incredibly moving performance, John Legend said, "What you're giving us on stage is well beyond a competition."
"You’re already a star. You carry yourself that way with confidence; with that distinctive voice. And the execution every time is just flawless. …You belong as one of the Grammy-winning Artists that are singing in our finale," the coach added.
Niall Horan sends Huntley to 'The Voice' Live Shows
Huntley was the first of the three Team Niall playoff artists to be picked for the next round, with Niall saving his harder two picks for the very end of the event.
"To turn six [Artists] to three is just crazy to me," Niall said before finally choosing Mara Justine and Nini Iris to join Huntley in representing Team Niall in the show's next Live Performances.
Who is Huntley in 'The Voice' Season 24?
By the age of four, Huntley was singing and impersonating Elvis, but he never took himself seriously. When Huntley was 14, a buddy caught him singing on his way home from school and told him he was fantastic.
Huntley knew he wanted to be a musician from that moment on. He relocated to Nashville after two years of college but did not get the success he had hoped for.
He returned to Virginia after falling out of love with the music industry. Huntley welcomed his daughter in 2016 and his son in 2021.
He had no contact with his father, which encouraged him to be highly active in the lives of his children. Huntley has been a successful booking agency for bands since 2022.
Now that music has returned to his life, he is a full-time musician, performing five times a week around Virginia. Huntley is ready to prioritize music in his life after first becoming a father.
'The Voice' Season 24 airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET and Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on NBC.
