'The Voice' Season 24: Fans band with Niall Horan as he blames 'wrong song selection' for Chechi Sarai's elimination
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice's 24th season is getting ready for its three-way knockouts, and viewers got a first look at Team Gwen's vocalists competing in the episode that premieres on November 7. Coach Gwen Stefani, John Legend, Reba McEntire, and Niall Horan are all watching from their red chairs, and they're all clearly affected by what Tanner Massey, Chechi Sarai, and Rudi are doing.
One even uses their potent Knockout number to reduce Gwen to literal tears. Tanner opens for the three vocalists, with "In My Blood" by Shawn Mendes.
Gloria Gaynor's "Never Can Say Goodbye" is sung by Chechi as she follows him. Rudi completes the Knockout fight with her own interpretation of "Smokin Out the Window" by Anderson .Paak, Bruno Mars, and Silk Sonic.
After all three hopefuls performed outstanding performances, the coaches commented in on their development, what worked and what didn't. While Tanner's impassioned delivery enticed the coaches, their perspectives on the performance's success ranged slightly.
Meanwhile, more than one coach noted that Chechi's voice, while incredible, was not utilized to its greatest potential with her song selection. Similarly, Rudi's performance was not spectacular, but her charming stage presence made for a nice encounter.
