Season 19 of ‘The Voice’ has finally come to end with Carter Rubin from Team Gwen Stefani being declared the winner. The 15-year-old crooner from New York became the youngest male ever to win the singing reality show and he also gave Stefani her very first win of ‘The Voice.’ The young lad beat the likes of talented and well-trained singers like Jim Ranger, Desz, Ian Flanigan and John Holiday to secure the top position.

Another singer from New York, Flanigan was one of the top contenders for the trophy and his coach Blake Shelton never shied away from praising him and sometimes even more than Jim who was part of the same team. Flanigan had an impressive start right from the blind auditions to knockouts. However, in the semi-finale, he failed to get the love of America but Blake made sure the singer continued his journey with an “instant save” option. In the finale, he then ended up in the third position whereas, his teammate Jim who did not get the hype as we all expected, finished second.

Blake rooted for his team member Flanigan from day one as the legendary country singer always felt he had what it takes to be a winner of ‘The Voice’ Season 19. If Ian or Jim had won the show, this would have been Team Blake’s record eighth win in ‘The Voice.’ Shelton took to Twitter to speak about the finale and his team members Ian and Jim. He posted, “Well, we may not have taken the @nbcthevoice title this time around, but I feel like a winner having worked with some incredible artists this season! @jimranger @IanFlanigan y’all should be so proud of what y’all have done this season! It’s just the beginning! Watch out world!!!!!”

A lot of social media users also expressed their opinion on Twitter on Flanigan losing the title. One user stated, “I’m sure we will see you in the Country scene in the near future along side that coach of yours Amazing artist.” Another expressed, “Uuuggghhhhh!!!!   I can’t believe #TheVoicefinale .   #ianflanigan was in third.   I can’t believe it.  He is AMAZING.   When Carson announced him in third all you heard in my house were gasp.” One added, “@IanFlanigan you're the reason I watched this season... Best voice for me! Best to you in life!” One individual posted, “I would buy any record @IanFlanigan puts out and I’m already on a record with @jimranger. Disappointed in @NBCTheVoice outcome tonight, but excited to see what happens for these two #TeamBlake guys. Both artists. Both entertainers. And one happens to be my homie so that’s cool.” Another added, “I was hoping you would win.”
