UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: For her performance on the Monday, April 29 episode of 'The Voice' Season 25, Nadège Moss chose to sing Coldplay's "Clocks". Despite receiving praise from the judges, fans watching at home were less than thrilled.

Nadège explained that she wanted to freshen things up after performing R&B songs all season. Chance the Rapper initially collaborated with Meghan Trainor on Nadège's cover of Coldplay's "Clocks".

Meghan suggested incorporating part of the original melody back into the song, emphasizing its familiarity for the audience. However, Chance believes that Nadège's version retains its uniqueness, considering it one of her most valuable qualities.

On X, fans criticized Nadège's performance, writing, "I normally like Kyle and Nadege but tonights performances by them were meh." Another fan added, "I like Nadege but idk about tonights performance."

One fan noted, "Nadege is making that song very fresh but I believe she can do more." Another fan complained, "I wasn’t super into her performance. She has a good voice but I don’t think she arranged it well. She sounded more ethereal whereas the song kept the same sound it usually has & her voice couldn’t compete. Also idk what’s up with the mic echo. Sound team needs to step it up."

One fan wrote, "The performance started strong but I felt it kind of got lost along the way." "I wasn’t impressed," added another fan.

'The Voice' coach John Legend finds Nadège's 'melodic alterations' a little 'distracting'

John Legend expressed concern about the "melodic alterations" made to the original song, finding them "distracting." However, Chance praised Nadège's performance as one of the show's greatest, even describing it as a "spiritual experience."
