After a grueling session of Top 13 performances, it was finally time to lock the Top 11 contestants on the ‘The Voice’ season 21. Episode 18 of the singing reality show that aired on Tuesday, November 16 proved to be a nerve-wracking one as the singers prayed to grab the coveted seat in the finals. The trio called Girl Named Tom was the very first group to make it to the Top 11 as host Carson Daly marked them safe.

Social media users, however, could not digest the fact the trio made it to the Top 11 as they slammed them on Twitter. Many could not believe how America voted and asked who really made them reach so far on the show. Girl Named Tom includes members Caleb, Bekah and Josh Liechty and they hail from Pettisville. The band belongs to Team Kelly and they had earned the rare four-chair turn during their blind auditions leaving the rest of the coaches namely John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Ariana Grande equally smitten.

Girl Named Tom quickly took to their Instagram account with more than 30K followers to celebrate their success. In one of their Instagram stories, the group shared, “Thank you so much for all your votes, love, and support. Speaking of the band, the trio has so far been consistent on the show getting a lot of love from the judges. The trio was formed in the spring of 2019 and since then has performed 67 shows across the country while touring in their mini-van!

Caleb and Joshua graduated from Goshen College. According to the college newsletter, the brothers revealed that their little sister sang anywhere and everywhere when she was young. Caleb also added that it was their mother, Holly, who inspired them to form a band. "We’d always been told we should be the next Von Trapp singers, but none of us kids had ever taken the idea seriously until our own parents supported it,” he said. The latest episode saw two contestants heading back home ending their journey right there. Gymani from Team Kelly was the one who got saved as Shadele from Team John and Ryleigh Plank from Team Ariana unfortunately did not get enough votes.
