Ariana Grande has a bunch of talented singers in her team on ‘The Voice’ season 21 but we really wonder if there is one like Holly Forbes. The singer has been serenading the coaches with her soulful performance right from the blind auditions and she continued the ritual during the top 13 performances aired on Monday, November 15.

In the previous episode, we saw how Holly got emotional when she cracked the top 13 list out of the top 20. While sticking to the theme of “Dedications” for the latest episode, the Team Ariana member picked the song ‘The Dance’ by Garth Brooks and dedicated it to her stepmother as she was always there for her no matter what. Ariana Grande and Holly Forbes were spotted backstage bonding over the track as the former briefed her on how she can elevate her performance in order to advance to the top 11.

Holly Forbes leaves Ariana Grande emotional

Ariana Grande liked the song Holly chose for her top 13 performance as it showed a softer side to her. Dressed in a shimmery gold outfit with a pink jacket, Holly Forbes landed on the stage and left the judges asking for more as she performed on the Garth Brooks’ chart-topping single. The heartfelt performance by Holly left Ariana Grande emotional as she praised her with a standing ovation.

Speaking on the singer’s set for top 13, Blake Shelton said that her rendition of ‘The Dance’ was great and simple. “You kept it simple and poured your heart out,” said Blake. He added that the song changed Garth Brooks’ career and all of country music. Agreeing to Blake’s remarks, Ariana asserted that her rendition was special. The global pop icon concluded, “What you do every single time is in your league, and in your own world.” For the unversed, the next episode will see two contestants going back home regardless of what team they belong to.
