In a shocking turn of events, Helen Chambers (Danielle Macdonald) is kidnapped by Detective Ruari Slater (Conor MacNeill) in 'The Tourist' Season 2 Episode 3.

After leaving Detective Slater’s house, Helen goes to a pub. She gathers her courage and uses her phone to call Elliot, and the pair are finally reunited.

At the end of the episode, Helen informs Elliot that a DNA report has confirmed a first-generation match between him and Fergal McDonnell (Mark McKenna), leaving viewers with more questions than answers.
