The Titan Games' Season 2 Championship Preview: Who will be crowned Titan Champion?
The Central, West and East regions have been conquered and it's time for the grand finale. For the past few months, we've waited for Mondays with bated breath, watched participants display their determination, grit, fire and passion in grueling challenges. They've literally spent blood, sweat and tears in tasks like 'Lunar Impact', 'Nuts N Bolts', 'Kick Out', 'Launch Pad' and 'Herculean Pull'.
Matt Chan proved his worth in the Central region after defeating NFL great Joe Thomas finally, Noah Palicia held on to his Titan title fiercely in the West, and 'Country Strong' Will Sutton breezed through all the challenges in the East. With regard to the Women's Championships, Dani Speegle muscled her way through in the Central region, Margaux Alvarez became an inspiration in the West, and Courtney Roselle was a force to reckon with in the East.
The grand finals are here and it is going to be one heck of a battle. The synopsis for the episode reads, "Regional competition has come to an end and the final Titans from the Central, West and Eastern divisions have advanced to the Championship. Those six elite Titans return for the final rounds of competition. The top two men and women will advance to compete on Mount Olympus one last time. In the end, one man and one woman will be crowned Titan Champions."
It has been quite a journey for the participants and they've displayed their sportsmanship throughout the show. Some joined it to prove something to themselves and their families others applied in the hope of making a splash and becoming a role model for others. MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) spoke to Courtney Rosell, the champion of the East and she opened up why she decided to join 'The Titan Games'. "There's 10,000 applicants that went out for the show and I'm one of the 36 contestants that were picked. I was so taken back that The Rock picked me to be there. The second reason was to represent New Jersey and to represent my family and put on the best performance possible, no matter what went out there, good or bad. I just want to make sure that my story was heard and that I had the best performance and I was representing my family, New Jersey and strong women to the best of my ability."
Meanwhile, Sutton wanted to put his hometown on the map, as he told MEAWW. "I was in my classroom and I saw a preview for last year's Titan Games. I've always kind of wanted to be on that and test my limits. On national television. I said I'm gonna apply for this. I really just wanted to put my town on the map. You know, we kind of get overlooked cause I come from such a small town in North Carolina, and I was like we got this. I'm going to go out there and I'm gonna show them. It just happened at a great time because our town's going through a pretty rough time trying to recuperate from hurricane Florence. We got pretty bad flooded during Hurricane Florence, but really no one was making Trenton a big deal because it was such a small town."
'The Titan Games' airs on NBC, Mondays at 8 pm.
