The series revolves around Lali Sokolov (Jonah Hauer-King), a Jewish prisoner at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during the Second World War.

'The Tattooist of Auschwitz' gets intense with each episode as Lali learns the harsh realities of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

There's a lot to uncover in 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz' Episode 3. So, let's jump in!

In 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz' Episode 3, Lali is deeply concerned about Gita (Anna Próchniak), who has fallen ill. However, due to strict camp officials and tightly controlled information, he has no updates on her whereabouts or condition.

Lali struggles to survive in the harsh conditions of the camp while desperately longing for news of Gita. After receiving help from one of the officials, Lali finally manages to meet Gita. However, he discovers that she is seriously ill with wounds. Gita could die if she does not receive treatment. He goes to meet Dr. Schumann (Matthias Zera) to get the medicine and describes the condition.

The doctor informs him that the condition indicates sepsis. However, Lali does not disclose that the medicine is for someone else.

The medicine doesn't come easily, as the doctor asks him to complete a task in exchange for it. It appears that the doctor conducted some kind of experiment on the women prisoners, and Lali is tasked with taking care of them.

Lali's love for Gita is so pure that he is willing to go to any length to save Gita's life and as a result, agrees to help the doctor with whatever task is necessary in exchange for the medicine.

Lali saves Gita by giving her the medicine, which he obtained through his efforts and sacrifices.

It is possible that the doctor may assign Lali a dangerous task in the future, and he would be willing to undertake it just for Gita. Further, if the doctor discovers that Lali gave the medicine to Gita, Lali may face severe consequences such as punishment or retaliation.

The doctors and the authorities in Auschwitz show no mercy, and they are capable of killing prisoners through their experiments. Lali needs to make sure that the information about him saving Gita remains intact and undisclosed to authorities. If they find out the truth, it could jeopardize not only Gita's safety but also his own.

As Lali continues to experience life in the camp, he learns more about the brutal realities of Auschwitz. His assistant tattooist, Leon (Phénix Brossard), becomes the subject of Dr. Schumann's ruthless experiment.

In a cruel and inhumane act, Dr. Schumann performed a castration on Leon, causing irreparable physical and psychological harm.

Leon discloses to Lali that the doctor surgically removed his genitals. This revelation shocks Lali, highlighting the extreme cruelty and brutality of the doctor's actions.

Despite the immense suffering and trauma he endured, Leon does not voice any complaints. It seems like he has adapted to the harsh realities of the camp.

However, the information deeply saddens Lali, and he appears visibly affected by it. In the upcoming episode, Lali may attempt to assist Leon with his work while also being cautious of the authorities, recognizing their capacity for brutality and arbitrary actions.

However, it is possible that Leon's health may deteriorate rapidly due to the extreme pressure and trauma he endured. The physical and psychological toll of the castration, combined with the harsh conditions of the camp, could lead to a decline in his health.
