Netflix has been doing extremely well in its delivery of foreign productions and now adding to that incredible list is the release of the Spanish psychological thriller titled 'The Paramedic', originally called 'El practicante.' After a man suffers grave physical consequences after an accident, he becomes obsessed with plotting revenge on the woman who leaves him. Here is what we know of the movie's upcoming release. 

Release date

'The Paramedic'/'El practicante' releases on September 16, 2020.

Plot

The synopsis reads, "Unable to face his new reality in a wheelchair, Ángel develops a deadly obsession with the woman who left him and unleashes a sinister revenge plot."

Celso Bugallo as Vicente

Bugallo is known for his role as José from 'The Sea Inside' aka 'Mar adentro' (2004), Amador from 'Mondays in the Sun' aka 'Los lunes al sol' (2002), Amadeo from 'The Night of the Sunflowers' (2006) and Ramón from 'Trote'. In 2005, Bugallo won a Goya Award for Best Supporting Acto for 'Mar adentro' (2004), a mestre Mateo for Best Supporting Actor for 'Los lunes al sol' and a Chano Piñeiro Award for Best New Actor. 

Mario Casas as Ángel

Casas is known for his roles as H from 'Three Steps Above Heaven' (2010), Antonio from 'Witching and Bitching' aka 'Las brujas de Zugarramurdi' (2013), Alex Vaga from 'The 33' and Boix from 'The Photographer of Mauthausen' (2018). In 2014, Casas won a Feroz Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for 'Las brujas de Zugarramurdi' and in 2016 he won the same award for 'Mi gran noche' where he played the role of Adanne.

The other members of the cast include, Raúl Jiménez as Fermín, Maria Rodríguez Soto as Sandra, Pol Monen as Andrés, Gerard Oms as Agente, Déborah François as Vane and Guillermo Pfening as Ricardo.

The Spanish thriller is directed by Carles Torras, written by David Desola and Hèctor Hernández Vicens. Santiago Lapeira, Denis Pedregosa and Orlando Pedregosa serve as executive producers
