'The Masked Singer' season 2: Fans predict it is Wayne Brady behind the Fox mask after his clues 'Doogie' and 'Doubtfire'

Based on the clues given, fans on social media narrowed down their guesses to 'How I Met Your Mother' actor Wayne Brady.

'The Masked Singer' season 2 has us all put our thinking caps on trying to figure out who are the celebrities under the masks. 

Returning on Wednesday night, the series introduced us to the remaining four masked celebrities, - the Fox, the Eagle, the Flower, and the Penguin. At the end of the episode, the Eagle had its wings clipped and was unmasked after it lost the smackdown against the Penguin. Unmasked, the Eagle turned out to be famed TV personality Dr. Drew Pinsky from 'Loveline'. 

The Fox, the Flower and the Penguin moved on to the next round. While fans and viewers have placed their bets on Patti LaBelle as the celebrity under the Flower mask, and Sherri Shepherd under the Penguin mask, they have also speculated who the well-dressed Fox might be, based on the clues revealed during the episode on Wednesday night. 

Prior to his performance, the Fox revealed a set of clues and hints in a pre-taped video package. The Fox describes himself as “clever,” “strategic,” and an "on-air superhero" who can eat almost anything. He also hinted that his best work is done in the night and that he is "quick, I refuse to be caged in and I’m crafty.” The Fox also referred to “Doogie” and “Doubtfire". 

Based on the clues given fans on social media narrowed down their guesses to 'How I Met Your Mother' actor Wayne Brady. Taking to Twitter, a fan wrote, "I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life the fox on #TheMaskedSinger is Wayne Brady." 

"#TheMaskedSinger the fox is DEFINITELY @WayneBrady so many clues leading back to "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"..." said another fan. Adding to that another fan wrote, "In the middle of watching #TheMaskedSinger and I'll sell my soul if that fox isn't @WayneBrady." 

"I think the fox is Wayne Brady. Sounds exactly like him and he keeps talking about two personalities (he’s a Gemini) #TheMaskedSinger," a fan wrote. While another added, "If the Fox is anyone other than Wayne Brady, my mind will be blown #TheMaskedSinger." 

Initial clues about the Fox had fans veering towards the Flash actor Grant Gustin being under the mask. "Okay, my prediction for the Fox on Season 2 of @MaskedSingerFOX is @grantgust! The clue is ‘ Superhero ’ and I saw somewhere he has fox ties?? but he also looks really tall. And Grant is tall and skinny," read the comment.
