'The Masked Singer' Season 2 fans think it might be Martin Short under the Skeleton's mask
'The Masked Singer' Season 2 has returned with a slew of bizarre costumes along with clues that are even harder and cryptic than season one. So far we have seen the first batch of contestants perform for the judging panel and audience.
After a performance from Tree, Ice Cream, Lady Bug, Thingamajig, Skeleton, Egg, Butterfly, and Rottweiler at the end of the episode, the Egg and Ice Cream were unmasked.
Though Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke were spot on with their guesses that it is figure skating star Johnny Weir as the Egg, none of the judges were able to guess that it was famed YouTuber Ninja as the Ice Cream.
Among the other contestants who performed, there is one masked singer who has fans going crazy speculating who it might be under the mask. And that is none other than the Skeleton. Though a few have their own guesses, most fans predict that it might be Martin Short under the Skeleton's mask.
The clues revealed by the Skeleton is that he underwent a near-death experience. He's always played the second fiddle, which hints that he might have been in a band or played as an ensemble cast. The Skeleton also hinted that he has "been around the block a few times," meaning he might be an older person.
Taking all these clues into consideration, fans have concluded that the singer underneath Skeleton's mask is none other than Martin Short.
Taking to Twitter a fan wrote, "#TheMaskedSinger #MartinShort Is the #SKELETON Clue:4261-On the tombstone on the preshow 42 is how old Gilda Radner was when she died & 61 is how old his father was when he died. Clue: Second fiddle-Martin Short was a Collaborator on Second City and his Mother was a Violin prodigy."
Adding to that another fan said, "I keep thinking Martin Short. He can change his voice SO easily. I am excited to hear him sing again."
"Martin short. No doubt in my mind," said a fan. Another wrote, "Ken finally gets one right I think the skeleton is Martin Short or Steve Martin but I say Martin Short for the win haha #maskedsinger."
