Midge eats problems for breakfast. We're all aware of this by now as we journey into the fourth season of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.' Following Midge's attempts to restore her career as a comedian while simultaneously fighting a business that's still conservative, Season 4 premiered on February 18 to everybody's joy

Episode 5 of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' Season 4 saw Midge apologizing to Shy Baldwin, and though that was one of the most notable scenes, there was another one that hinted at impending trouble. But before we get to it, let's take a look at the events that led to it.

Titled 'How to Chew Quietly and Influence People,' Episode 5 showed Rose being approached by Solomon Melamid, a business magnate wanting to avail her services as a matchmaker. Through their conversation, it's revealed that Solomon presides over an empire that covers railroads, shipping, and steel businesses. However, he hasn't seen much fortune when it comes to his personal life. At least that's how he feels when he talks about both his daughters not having tied the knot yet. He hires Rose to find suitors for his daughters, after hearing about her excellent matchmaking skills through his lawyer, a satisfied customer of hers.

Solomon ends the meeting on an extremely promising note, telling Rose that the Melamid family is huge and that they would require her services often in the future. However, he also sternly adds that the family values "decency, dignity, and discretion," asking Rose more or less directly to keep the whole thing under wraps, assuming that her family has similar values. Rose returns home, and while looking for Midge, finds Wolford strip club matchbooks on her dresser. She digs into the dresser and finds newspaper clippings with stories on Midge's performances at the Wolford.

Rose visits the Wolford and is completely distraught after witnessing the performances. She confronts Midge about it, demanding that she quits her gig at the Wolford, worried that the Melamids will sever ties because of it. Midge declines to do so, telling Rose that her career is just as important. Midge also assures Rose that the chances of Solomon finding out are low as their last names aren't the same and that he wouldn't read Roy Dunham's stories. Rose, however, isn't convinced, claiming that Solomon reads every popular newspaper and that it won't be long before he connects Midge to the Weissman family. The conversation is cut short after an exhausted Midge ends it, wanting to go to sleep.

'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
