Episode 5 of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' Season 4 comes as an answer to those who wanted an apology from Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) for her insensitive act at the Apollo. For those unfamiliar with it, the Season 3 finale saw the sassy comedian open for Shy Baldwin at the Apollo, nearly outing his sexuality during her set. Titled 'A Jewish Girl Walks Into The Apollo,' the episode ended with Midge and Susie (Alex Borstein) being given the boot, as Shy Baldwin (Leroy McClain) jets away for his Europe tour.

Having premiered on February 17, Season 4 of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' began with Midge trying to rebuild her career and shows her eventually landing a gig as a hostess at a strip club, performing to the crowd in between acts. Though fans of the comedy-drama were pleased with its return, most of them, if not all, wanted her to address the infamous Apollo set and make amends for it. Well, the makers seem to have heard them loud and clear for 'How to Chew Quietly and Influence People,' Episode 5 of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel,' touches upon the issue.

At one point, a slightly inebriated Midge follows Shy to the restroom, having a conversation that starts off as small talk but ends up becoming a serious one. Midge apologizes to Shy, explaining why she performed in a manner that put Shy down. The conversation ends with Shy suggesting that the two spend some time together once he returns from a trip but Midge respectfully declines, saying the two aren't friends.

Episode 5 of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' ends with Midge finding out that Shy's management had fired the rest of his band and Reggie (Sterling K. Brown) to prevent people from finding about what they call, "proclivities."
