'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' Season 3 Episode 2: Will Sterling K. Brown's cameo bring the missing 'wow' factor to the show?

For a long time, viewers were wondering what role will the 'This is Us' actor play and it is clear now that he enters as Shy Baldwin's manager, Reggae.

'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' may be centered around Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) and Susie (Alex Borstein) and there is a major power struggle between the two after the latter tells the comic about her decision to say yes to be her arch-rival Sophie Lennon's manager. However, it is Sterling K. Brown who steals their thunder in episode two of Season 3.

For a long time, viewers were wondering what role will the 'This is Us' actor play and it is clear now that he enters as Shy Baldwin's manager, Reggae. He even claims that Lou is just the "white guy" who brings the deals for the singer while he is the main man.

As Reggae, he has a swagger that won't make you blink your eye for even a second. In his first meeting with Susie, he tells her, "You won't be talking back like that. Let me tell you what kind of manager I am, Susie and associates. I've been looking after Shy since he was a child and I will be at his side until he takes his last breath." Without hearing a word from her, he sternly turns around, "It's been a good meeting. You got any questions."

It is debatable whether his claim turns out to be true or he is simply faking his identity. No matter where the storyline of the show goes, Brown's brazenness is on another level and perhaps, he will bring the missing "wow" factor to the show.

Maybe, Brown enters Midge's life and supports her during those tough times until she sorts out her differences with Susie through a three-episode dramatic narrative.

With back-to-back Emmy Awards in 2016 and 2017 to his credit in 'American Crime Story: People v. OJ Simpson' and 'This Is Us', the actor is known for adding a certain charm to his characters. His addition to cast only seems like a cherry to the cake, doesn't it?
