Story contains major spoilers for season 1 episode 4 of 'The L Word: Generation Q'

What an absolute delight the last episode of 'The L Word: Generation Q' was. After spending three episodes warming up to set the story in motion, it now looks like the Showtime series has finally picked up pace.

At Shane's (Katherine Moennig) surprise birthday party in the previous episode ('LA Times'), Alice (Leisha Hailey), her partner Nat (Stephanie Allynne) and Nat's ex-wife Gigi (Sepideh Moafi) end up having a threesome. The episode revolves around Alice's interview with the LA Times about her life, career and family. The main objective of the interview is to write about how Alice and her partner find the work-life balance. And it is safe to say that Gigi has some role to play in it.

By the end of the episode, we know this can go only two ways: this could be a drunken mistake that the trio is going to look back at with regret or the show will explore polyamory.

According to the official synopsis of the upcoming episode titled 'Labels', Bette (Jennifer Beals) feels guilty about lying to Angie (Jordan Hull); some unexpected news throws Shane for a loop; Alice, Gigi and Nat find common ground; Dani (Arienne Mandi) and Sophie (Rosanny Zayas) deal with a bombshell dropped on them by Dani's father; Finley (Jacqueline Toboni) bonds with Tess (Jamie Clayton); Micah (Leo Sheng) grows closer to José (Freddy Miyares).

Considering the throuple - yes, we're calling them that now - is now trying to find common ground, it looks like the polyamory angle is going forward in full swing. Gigi is already a very active participant in the lives of the kids she has with Nat. The three must now work around how they will be dividing time between the children and themselves. We're thinking it is going to be the most interesting angle of this season of 'The L Word: Generation Q'.

'The L Word: Generation Q' airs on Sundays at 10/ 9c on Showtime.
