'The Kominsky Method' season 2 may see Sandy in a comical situation even as Norman restarts his life with an old flame

It looks like we're going to find a new, remodeled Norman Newlander in season two, considering he finds the answers to the questions he is looking for

Spoilers ahead for season one of Netflix's 'The Kominsky Method'

In season one of Netflix's Golden Globe-winning comedy-drama series 'The Kominsky Method', we get insights into the Sandy Kominsky (Michael Douglas) acting method, from where the series gets its title. The series follows him and his longtime agent and friend Norman Newlander (Alan Arkin) as they navigate their later years in Los Angeles.

At the end of season one, Norman cannot deal with the visions of his dead wife, mother, and grandmother, and runs away from his home, wandering through the streets at night.

When Sandy picks him up from the police station, Norman tells him that he simply took a walk to clear his head, but admits that he might be losing his mind altogether. Sandy assures him that he isn't alone in this.

Back home, the conversation becomes more serious. Having difficulty confronting the sorrow of losing his spouse, Norman finds himself filled with the big questions about life and death — who am I? why am I here? where does this lead to?

He tells Sandy how he has considered religion to answer the questions himself, but "the whole God thing has put me off", he said. When Sandy suggests looking for answers by helping those in need, Norman says it is difficult for him to like other people, even his family.

So it looks like we're going to find a new, remodeled Norman Newlander in season two, considering he finds the answers to the questions he is looking for.

But on a more definite note, season two of 'The Kominsky Method' will see Norman reconnect with an old flame from his youth (guest star Jane Seymour). After nearly five decades, the duo has decided to restart their love life. This could mean that Norman has, at least, come to terms with the reality of losing his wife.

On the other hand, things are going to be humorously complicated for Sandy. He will meet and bond with his daughter's new boyfriend (guest star Paul Reiser), who is uncomfortably close to his age. Knowing Sandy, this situation might make for a fun watch.

Season two of 'The Kominsky Method' is set to release on Netflix on October 25, 2019. Season one is available to stream on the platform.
