Plot
'The Goldbergs' is set in an alternate version of the 1980s in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, and shows the reality of the 1980s through a preadolescent's, and later in the series, teenager's, eyes. The show is loosely based on the showrunner's childhood, during which he regularly videotaped events. Many of these videos are reenacted for series episodes, with the original version shown before the end credits.

In the Season 8 finale of 'The Goldbergs', Geoff reveals his intention of proposing to Erica and asks JTP to keep the ring on him until he was ready for the big moment. Although things don’t exactly go as planned, Adam manages to step in and salvage the plan. He helps Geoff pull off the perfect proposal his sister deserves. Lastly, she say yes! Viewers can look forward to the couple's love story continuing in Season 9.

Wendi McLendon-Covey
Wendi McLendon-Covey is an American actress and comedian. She is known primarily for her work in comedic and improvisational roles. Since 2013, McLendon-Covey has played the role of Beverly Goldberg, a family matriarch, on the ABC comedy series 'The Goldbergs', for which she was nominated for two Critics' Choice Television Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Film credits include Peter Landesman's 'Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House', Larry Charles' 'Army of One', Scott Speer's 'Status Update' amongst others.
Sean Giambrone
Sean Giambrone is an American actor. Giambrone portrays youngest son Adam, the younger version of the show's creator, Adam Goldberg, on 'The Goldbergs'. He will also be seen in the co-lead role of Ron Stoppable in the upcoming Disney live-action film 'Kim Possible'. Giambrone is also an accomplished voice actor and his resume includes roles in 'The Emoji Movie', as well as the upcoming 'The Secret Life of Pets 2' and Disney's 'Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2'.
Troy Gentile
American actor Troy Gentile got his start in the entertainment industry at the age of 11 when he played the supporting role of Hooper - the bear in the wheelchair - in the remake of 'Bad News Bears' with Billy Bob Thorton. His career continued to rise when he was cast in the role of young Dan Fogel in 'Good Luck Chuck'. At the age of 13, Gentile bagged his first lead role in Drillbit Taylor opposite Owen Wilson. The actor is best known for his role as Mark in 'Hotel for Dogs' and Barry Goldberg on the comedy series 'The Goldbergs'.
Hayley Orrantia
Hayley Orrantia is an actress, singer, and songwriter originally from Highland Village, Texas. She was a contestant on season one of 'The X Factor' (USA). Originally auditioning as a solo artist, she and three other contestants were assembled during the boot camp phase by Simon Cowell into the girl group 'Lakoda Rayne'. She is best known for portraying Erica Goldberg on the ABC comedy series 'The Goldbergs'.
Jeff Garlin
Jeff Garlin's talent encompasses writing, producing, directing, acting, and performing stand-up comedy. He is also known as the executive producer and co-star of the critically acclaimed HBO comedy 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', now going into its 10th season. Garlin was hired by comedians Denis Leary and Jon Stewart to help develop their specials. He worked as a stage director for their shows and edited the scripts. He worked with Larry David in this same way. Garlin has a variety of television and film appearances to his credit including 'Dr. Katz', 'Arrested Development', 'Everybody Loves Raymond', 'Late Show with David Letterman', 'Tom Goes to the Mayor', 'The Life and Times of Tim', 'The Daily Show', 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien', and 'Entourage'.
Sam Lerner
Samuel Bryce Lerner is an American actor. Lerner got his start in the show business at the age of 9. His big break came when Barry Levinson cast him in the movie 'Envy', which starred his favorite actors, Ben Stiller, and Jack Black. He can be seen returning as a series regular to 'The Goldbergs' as the lovable Geoff Schwartz. Lerner also plays Ronnie in the Blumhouse film 'Truth or Dare', starring Lucy Hale and Tyler Posey. In addition, he voices King Gristle in the Netflix series 'Trolls: The Beat Goes On!'.
