'The Flash' Season 6 Episode 6 will see Hartley Sawyer's Ralph Dibny and Barry Allen go undercover on a mission
If 'Kiss Kiss Breach Breach' was all about a major character arc for Cisco (Carlos Valdes), the next Team Flash member to have his story taken further is Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer). The CW has released a new promo and synopsis for the upcoming episode, 'License to Elongate'.
The official synopsis reads: "Barry (Grant Gustin) turns his attention to prepping Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer) for life after 'Crisis' and without The Flash, but Ralph ultimately teaches Barry a lesson."
"Meanwhile, Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) faces her own moment of self-discovery while helping a recuperated Chester P. Runk (guest star Brandon McKnight) reclaim his identity," the synopsis adds.
The 20-second promo sees Barry and Dibny dressed to kill while the signature Bond tune plays in the background. Barry borrows the iconic line saying, 'The name's Allen, Barry Allen' and it appears that the duo is following a villain whose details are yet to be divulged.
With Cisco more or less coming to terms that the team needs to be there for Star City, the attention now moves to Dibny. The man is going through his own share of challenges and one of them includes searching for Sue Dearborn.
This theory is supplemented by the actor's interview with EW where he said: "Since I started playing Ralph, the number one question has probably always been, 'Where’s Sue? What about Sue?'"
"We did talk early on in Season 4, because I brought that up, and the plan had always been all roads lead to Sue and we're going to get there, but he has to be ready for that, because that's such a serious relationship in comics and a big relationship," says Sawyer.
"I can't see the guy he was in Season 4 meeting Sue Dearborn and that becoming what you know it needs to become," he adds.
'The Elongated Man' will most likely see Barry and Dibny go on some undercover mission. Danielle Panabaker directed the episode written by Thomas Pound & Jeff Hersh."
