'The Flash' Season 6: Harrison Nash Wells could well be on his way to becoming Pariah in 'There Will Be Blood'

This review contains spoilers for 'The Flash' season 6 episode 4: 'There Will Be Blood'

Tom Cavanagh's Harrison Nash Wells is here on a task and he's got enough gizmos in his belt (literally) to pull off a Ninja-esque escape. In 'There Will Be Blood', the multiversal explorer as he calls himself with much pride, is after a crypto device. He strikes a deal with Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) where he helps them steal a serum from McCulloch Labs Facility that may save Dr. Ramsey Rosso's (Sendhil Ramamurthy) life. In return, Cisco agrees to build a crypto chip.

In the previous episode, Wells was searching for Eternium and now a circuit. While a connection to the 'Crisis' is apparent, it is revealed only at the end where it is used to create a holographic grid. The final minutes of the episode see him back in the Central City Sewer and the grid reveals the Monitor walking through the sewer, leading us to deduce that he was looking for the cosmic entity all along. Leading to the most important question— Is this the start of Wells' journey to becoming Pariah

However, with his final act of striking down the wall, has he released the Anti-Monitor into the earth?  According to the comics, this could transform him into the Pariah, who was summoned by the Anti-Monitor and launched the multiverse-shattering battle. In his attempts to know how the universe was created, he grabs the evil entity's attention who uses his experiment to free himself from the prison created by his brother, The Monitor. Now free, he starts annihilating the multiverse.

At the moment, it is too early to make this a theory but fans are supremely confident that Wells will indeed go on to become Pariah. We don't know if that's the case, but his actions do point in the direction.

'The Flash' airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on The CW.
